As the India vs England series started, I informed my readers about the
channels which will be telecasting the matches.. What I missed was the
fact that I have as many readers in United States as in India and
England. So many of my countrymen live there and even when they have
changed quite a bit, cricket still runs in their blood and I felt
obliged to find the channel that will show them the live t
 elecast..So here is the news if you love Indian cricket and live in USA - Nimbus Communications(The company with the production rights of all cricket matches that will be played in India till March 2010) and US broadcaster EchoStar Satellite have signed a deal granting the American DTH telecast major exclusive broadcast rights of Indian cricket from March 2006 to March 2010. Michael Kelly, executive vice-president, EchoStar, said - "EchoStar is pleased to reach an agreement with Nimbus Sport to provide exclusive North American rights to broadcast through radio, television and broadband the Board of Cricket Control India's 2006 - 2010 cricket matches occurring on Indian soil. Already an active distributor of cricket for more than 10 years to the South Asian and cricketing community living in the Americas and the US leader in importing international television channels, EchoStar continues to demonstrate its commitment to the success of the sport of cricket in North America. It must be noted that this deal also includes the broadband and radio rights.
