Test cricket is long cricket. Newspapers next morning & blogs are better way to keep track of a test match than watch it ball by ball, unless you're like we at itsonlycricket.
One day Internationals are 8 hour affair including the lunch interval, so most fans come to know about it sooner than later, but Twenty20 cricket is too short - just 3 hour tussle you are sure to miss if you blink!

Much goes into crafting a readable article, specially when its on statistics. One of my friend, when I told him I was working on this India vs Australia test match records article - "who has the highest score?" he asked!
I guessed VVS Laxman's 281 at Eden Gardens, which turns out to be true. we've also discussed the tied test match at Chennai couple of decades ago, in our Ind v Aus head to head but can you guess who has taken most wickets when Indians are against Aussies? the surprising list has 6 Indians bowlers before any Australian.

The Art of War says - "If your enemy is superior - evade him. If angry - irritate him. if equally matched - fight.. and if not - split! and re-evaluate".
Not sure split & re-evaluation works in mordern cricket, neither Australians can evade (avoid) Indian team as the tour has already began. Art of irritation might come in handy for home team and fight is always expected in Aussie attitude.

Writing all info list on current (2008) India's tour of Australia, covering every possible detail, was easy. trust me!
Making following list of TV channels which will show this 2007-08 cricket series in Australia in other countries world wide, was equally tough. 10 of them have batted or bowled before in Aussie conditions and all 6 main batsmen have made (at least one) century in Australia. Easy-to understand that whenever a country hosts an International cricket match - some private tv channel have got the live telecast rights. Cricket telecast shown in different countries is by broadcasters who buy the exclusive rights from host country boards!
Applying same rule - when India plays in Australia - its ESPN, Star sports and Star cricket (combination of three sports channel in India) who have the telecast rights from cricket Australia (ACB). There's Doordarshan (DD1 or DD National) in our story as well, but we'll first finish how ESPN-star combo will show the 2008 cricket series between India and Australia. and then the Tri-series including Srilanka as third team (fixtures list).
