If you want to describe England in a phrase as to how they’ve performed in this series, it would no doubt be ‘completely dominant’. The last ODI of the series which happened at Old Trafford in Manchester was almost called off due to bad weather, but the umpires took a tough decision, which ultimately proved to be fruitful for England and its fans. England already had a 1-0 lead and going into the second ODI of the 5-match NatWest series, at the Oval, they were in top form, mind and body. One thing that would bother them though, was the fact that they hadn’t won a match on this famed ground since 1997, and they were looking to put those past demons away..
