India vs South Africa 3rd ODI - Cape town review.

They first fought by taking 6 wickets for 76 runs but lost the momentum and allowed the South African's hit lots of sixes on the smallish ground of Cape town at the late of Innings.

The script should have been South Africa all out for something like 140 but they scored over 270, partly because South African deep batting and partly because Team India's killer instincts.

South Africa scored 105 runs in the last 8 overs and were stting pretty during the lunch interval with a total of 274.

The trick for India was not to lose too many wickets early in the chase but they did opposite. At 3 for 17, Dinesh Karthik proved why he ... .. Read complete article

Umpires for upcoming cricket series

Is it true we cricket lovers have started to care about who is umpiring for which match... or is it just me who feels like writing an information article on which umpire will be standing in India vs South Africa series, The Ashes 2006 and Pak vs WI series.

May be it's just me, but if you are reading it - you surely want to know more. So here's the list.

Ind vs SA series ;

Billy Doctrove will be standing in all 5 one dayers and so will Chris Broad as referee. Remember Chris Broad of England is regarded as one of the toughest referees in ICC Panel against bowling actions. So many times media has ... .. Read complete article

ICC's smarter than you think..!!

Lets admit this - ICC is consist of people who are one of the best negotiators, selected preciously from each country and they know how to dilute the intensity of a serious matter....... where as you and I are just common people who are so madly in love with this game called cricket that we keep on forgetting what wrong is happening with us.

First, they allowed Darrell Hair to stay in the "Elite panel of International umpires", even when he kept on making decisions which clearly showed his bias against sub-continent cricketers. Then they penalised Injamam for forfeiting the Oval test (which I think was the right decision), but who gave them ... .. Read complete article

(Darrell) Hair comes the trouble.

January 1992,
Adelaide Oval -

This was Darrell Hair's first ever test match and he gave no less than 8 controversial LBW decisions against Indian team and rejected two of their appeals... And guess what, India lost the test match by just 38 runs..!!

December 1995,
Melbourne -

This probably was the one of the darkest chapter in International cricket when Darrell Hair no-balled Muthiah Muralitharan as many as 7 times in the span of 3 overs. Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga took his team off the ground and returned only when he decided to bowl Read complete article

India vs England 5th ODI Guwahati 2006.

Some worth knowing facts - one day before the India vs England one dayer.

Apart from 19 test grounds, India have nearly 20 other grounds in different cities where one day Internationals have been hosted and do you know that the most common name in all of these grounds is - Nehru Stadium...!!

This cricket ground at Guwahati, after being made in 1962, it also shares the prestigious name (of our first Prime Minister - Jawahar Lal Nehru) and after hosting first ever ODI match in 1983, it has got only 9 matches till date. And this 5th One dayer between India and England will be the 10th one. Read complete article

India vs England - 3rd ODI Goa 2006.

Indian team came to Goa with lots of confidence but a few concerns over their top order batting. England came to Goa with nothing to lose but everything to gain. India have already won the 1st ODI at Delhi and also the 2nd ODI at Faridabad and were leading the series 2 - 0. It has to be said that England, the test team was far better than what they have for the one day series and so far - this one day series in India has been proving why England are placed at the 6th position in the ICC one day team ranking.. anyways, let me tell you more about what exactly happened ... .. BCCI earned round about US $ 612 million for granting Nimbus communications the rights to produce all the cricket that will be played in India till March 2010. This deal means that from this England series, all the cricket matches that will be played in India will be under Nimbus to decide whom to give the telecast rights.. it must be noted that Nimbus only produces the pictures - they need a ... .. Astrology in cricket..

Do you believe in Astrology??

I came across this cricket astrology site and wondered how successful it is. I don't really believe in these things in my personal life, and same in cricket, but this site proves me that there are people, unlike me. Oh come on, how can you predict which shot Sehwag is going to play... He himself doesn't know!!

The one thing I have noticed about astrology is they will rarely tell the negative aspects. Either they will predict whats good is going to happen (without any prof) or will tell the bad aspects very sweetly, as if they won't really happen. And aren't important.
