1) After so much of news made by Tensports and Doordarshan over the television rights and live telecast in India, now its England's turn. The channel that was showing the matches live all over the UK since 1938, won't be having the television rights for the coming Ashes series in Australia. And that had made the officials wake up and make a 4 year plan so that ordinary cricket fans in the country don't suffer in the future. Read the full story, but isn't this something that our Indian officials should learn from... but I guess they will be breathing nicely now as Doordarshan will show the ODI series while the test series is almost over...
2) South Africa has threatend to cancel their future tours to Australia as aussie crowd continued to use words like "Kaffirs" and "Africans" to the touring South African team, as they played their ODI against Srilanka at Perth. Read more. 3) Pakistan Captain Injamam-ul-Haq will most probably be fit for the ODI series. Although he is not taking too much of treatment as rest is all he needs. Pakistan wants Inzy, who is also given the Pakistan cricketer of the year award, to play at least till the World Cup and the don't want to take any risk. Here is more to it. 4) Australian Pace man - Glenn McGrath has said he is all fine and deternimed to take 1000 wickets in international cricket. McGrath said - "At the moment I'm a few wickets shy of where I want to be ... but I know the way I'm feeling, it won't be long before the bag of wickets will come, if I keep bowling the same way,".
