Cricketing world didn't knew meaning of INVINCIBLE, until West Indies started beating everyone, everywhere. back in 1970s & 80s.But like every rising sun that must come down, West Indies started losing here n there and then rarely winning anything in last decade. When was the last time West Indies won a test series? June 2004 when Windies toppled minnows Bangaldesh at home, winning that 2 match series 1-0. Year 2003 brought victories against Zimbabwe and Srilanka but for real test series triumph, Windies cricket fans have to go as back as late 2001 when their team beat India at home. 2-1 win in that 5 test match series. Now, March 2009 as I write this, Windies stand on verge of a test series victory from where they can certainly claim their rebirth. West Indies leads current Digicel test series 1-0 with fifth & final match starting today, at Port of Spain in Trinidad. On one side where West Indies can do with a draw at Trinidad, England have to press for a win to avoid losing Frank-Worrell Trophy which they hold since year 2000. All eyes will be on Port of Spain ground pitch, where all of last 10 tests have produced results. Don't miss : Ramnaresh Sarwan. The inform man for West Indies, already two centuries and a ninety in the series. just 2 runs shy of 600 runs in the series, Sarwan is runaway leading scorer from either side. Rookie : Adil Rashid or Amjad Khan might get their first England cap who are desperate to form a bowling combination capable to take 20 wickets. Adil Rashid is a leg spinner whereas Amjad Khan is rumored to be a slippery fast bowler with swinging ability.
