India vs Pakistan 2006 ODI series - the schedule..

1st ODI :-
Monday - 6th of February - Arab Niaz Stadium, Peshawar.

The first ever ODI on this ground was between India and Pakistan, way back in 1984. This ground has not seen as bigger scores as we all associate with one day cricket matches these days. But the upcoming match will the first after the super sub rule and power play has come into the ODI format of the game and must see some changes in the current record. The highest score at Peshawar is 296 - made by England against Srilanka in 1987, and the lowest being 127 - made by New Zealand against Pakistan.

2nd ODI :-
Saturday - 11th of February - Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi.

This ground has seen quite a few scores of over 300, 5 in fact and most of them has come after 2000. The highest being 329, made by Pakistan against India. Sachin Tendulkar made a century here last time and this ground has only 4 bowlers with more than 4 wickets in an innings. So we can say that we are on for a great run feast on that saturday, come 11th of February.

3rd ODI:-
Monday - 13th of February - Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Day - Night match.

The last ODI on this ground saw Kamran Akmal made a century and Pakistan easily winning the match against England. But the last time India played on this ground, they chased down 295 runs to win the series in 2004. This time it will be a Day - Night game and may be the winter in Pakistan will dictate quite a lot of terms..

4th ODI:-
Thursday - 16th February - Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan. Day - Night match.

Last time our team played there, we had Virendra Sehwag running away with the match with his 309. But that was a test match and in terms of ODIs', Multan is fairy new addition to Pakistan's armoury. It started hosting one-dayers on in 2003 and has been a batsmen friendly. But this again will be a Day Night match and dew factor may haunt it again, we I mentioned above - Pakistan is under severe winter these days.

5th ODI:-
Sunday - 19th February - National Stadium, Karachi.

There has been 8 scores above 300 in ODIs' at National stadium. Pakistan made 353 when they played last on this ground against England and even India scored 349 in their last visit. So all in all, a huge total and a great chase is on the cards on this particular Sunday.
