Karachi pitch for 3rd test - India vs Pakistan, 2006

I am as much eager to know what the Karachi curator is making for the 3rd test match of this series as you are, as draw seems the only result for 2nd test. Although its very unlikely that they won't make a batting paradise again, the curator - Qaiser Mohammad Ali has promised a "craker of a pitch".National.jpg

The sun is shining brightly in Karachi these days and according to the curator, it will help him make a good wicket, very different from what have seen so far in the series. I just hope he is not lying and has got orders from Pakistani officials to make another dead one!!

But if we look at the past test matches at Karachi, we see that only three scores have been over 500, with 478 being the highest in this millenium (See full chart), in 2004, between Srilanka and Pakistan. And with no sunshine excuse this time around, we can trust the Karachi curator for the time being.
