Australia lost to India but salvaged some prided by beating New Zealand recently at home (which Aussies do often in their sleep).

On other hand, South Africa had not lost a test series in 9 contests coming to Australia and the beat them, to secure their first ever Test Series Success down under..

Match start timings : Test Match at Perth will be starting 1130hrs Western Australia (= 1330hrs Sydney, 0430hrs South Africa, 0800hrs India) whereas 2nd test match at Melbourne and third test match at Sydney will be starting 2+1/2 hours earlier (5.30 am India). The Australia vs South Africa "Day" one day matches will start same as test matches whereas Day/night ODIs will start 5 hours later.

When Australia goes to South Africa, all three test matches will be starting 1900hrs sydney, 1000hrs South Africa and 1.30 pm Indian timings. The Day One day matches will be at same timings but Day night ODIs start 5 hours later.

Note : The Australia vs South Africa 1st twenty20 International at Melbourne on 11 January 2009 will start 1930hrs Melbourne, 1030 hrs South Africa and 1400hrs India. 2nd T20 at Brisbane Gabba will start an hour later..
