Munaf Patel is a lazy cricketer. Captain Dhoni gave him the first over after electing to field on a damp pitch with overcast conditions yet this medium pacers bowled three lose overs back to back.. Srilankans got off to a flying start but as always in recent past - Indian team found a way to comeback into the match by taking 4 quick wickets and then restricting Srilankans to a smallish total.

Sachin Tendulkar & Gautam Gambhir put on 102 run partnership for the 2nd wicket and they was the end of match for Lankans. They were thrown out of the triseries in Australia with India joining Australia in best of 3 finals.
