Venue : McLean Park, Napier in New Zealand.
Date : 10th February, 2008.. a Day ODI.
Debuts : Ian O'Brien.
ODI no. : 2682 overall. (63rd Eng v NZ ODI).
Toss : New Zealand, elected to field.
Result : Tied.
Series : New Zealand lead 5 ODI series 2-1 with 1 to play.
Man of Match : Jamie Hoe.
Umpires : Billy Bowden & Asad Rauf.

Just because it was a Day ODI, Kiwi captain Daniel Vettori elected to bowl first.. thinking whatever help for bowlers there will be - it will be in the first session. New Zealand also have a good record while chasing a target when playing at home but do you really expect to chase down a target of almost 7 runs per over for 50 overs?

New Zealand did it, with help of an incredible innings from man of the match Jamie How.. they just couldn't score 2 more run for victory off last delivery. 1 leg bye & match was a tie!

Records made or broken
**This was 2682 one day international over all and we had 23rd tied one day international. Interestingly, this was second tied ODI between England and New Zealand and even the previous one was played at the same ground - McLean Park in Napier on 26th February 1997.
