Pakistani cricketer I respect - Younis Khan.Filed under
Article
To tell you frankly, I don't have anything against Pakistan but until
yesterday, I somehow never managed to develop great respect for a
Pakistani...but now this view of mine seems to be changing very rapidly
as 2006 test series is into the second test these days.
consider the following - ![]() First test, Day 1 :- Younis Khan and Mohammad yousuf were hitting Indian bowlers all over the park and in between, they tried to steal a single when the score read 184 for 2. They ultimately decided against it and both batsmen ran back to their crease.. and as Younis Khan tried to reach the non-striking end, he came into the way of Harbhajan's throw - The ball went quite far towards the mid-on boundary where no one was fielding. Younis Khan ran all the way (around 20-25 meters) to fetch the ball and gave it back to the bowler - Virendra Sehwag... That gesture of the man really caught my eye.. Second test, Day 2 :- Pakistani fan were chanting hard for the home team. And in between, they said something that didn't please Younis Khan, the vice-captain of Pakistan. He went up to that section of ground and asked fans to not to get too personal and offend the opposition players. Isn't this a great gamesmanship from probably a great future Pakistani Captain. Hats off to you Younis...!! Related ArticlesArticle
