Preview 3rd test : Windies on verge of rerise!

In Arnold Schwarzenegger's words - "Success fuels motivation, and the drive makes you a champion".

No success - no fuel - and you lose your way!

Edwards-Celebrate-Elizabeth.jpg Windies cricket once ruled the cricket world. they don't anymore.. for one simple reason - they've forgot how success feels. Since mid-eighties in decade gone by, West Indies cricket team has won just the Champions trophy in England. now it's upon them to prove that wasn't a fluke!

They started 2008 in perfect manner with first ever test match win over South Africa (Proteas) in South Africa. they relaxed and Proteas came right back into this Castle & Lager test series by winning 2nd test inside 4 days. 3rd and final test match between West Indies and South Africa will be played from 10th January to 14th at Kingsmead in Durban.. can the visitors do what they've never done? not sure if they can, but if they do - they'll collect gallons of fuels to take on rest of world's cricket.

Captain Chris Gayle is out, cause of broken thumb, which will allow Marlon Samuels to play under added responsibility which often brings out the attacking batsman in him that we so dearly love. When in full flow, Marlon Samuels is threat to any bowling attack & calm Chanderpual will make sure visitors don't lose wickets from his end. The onus, of course, is also on young Windies pace battery of Derren Powell and Jerome Taylor to combine with firy Fiedel Edwards & get 20 wickets needed to win a test match.

Wicket-keeper Courtney Browne has been brought in, who was the last man standing when Windies won that champions trophy some 4 years ago. his tall presense behind the wickets should encourage the visiting team rather than quite Denesh Ramdin who got his share of chances but never grabbed'em.

Nice to hear Geoffery Boycott back as a cricket commentator. Geoffery has got old, suffered some neck problems but that man's love for cricket isn't finished as yet. He's back with Supersport commentary team (home broacasters of this west indies vs africa cricket series), and Tensports relays his voice all the way here in India. Another interesting developmenet has come from supersports team from which, Daryll Cullinan has been removed. reason - Dayrll was involved with rebel Indian cricket league a month back!
