Surprising it may sound, but that's true. This year, in 2008, a 3 day match between India XI and ACT XI will be played. 10th, 11th & 12th January (Thursday, Friday & Saturday). Like all Aussie 'small or big' captains, ACT XI captain Mark Higgs has said some days back.."we'll like Australian team to soften up Indians before this practice match, and ACT XI will try maintaining Indians under pressure before the 3rd test at Perth". He has Chris Rogers with him, an opening batsman very close to play for Australian national team. and Richard Sherlock is a New Zealand currently making a comeback from injury.

so the ACT XI is something like : Mark Higgs(cap), Jonathon Dean, John Rogers, Randall Starr, James Crosthwaite, Adam Ritchard, Luke Swards, Ryan Bulger, Chris Rogers and Richard Sherlock.
