Australia snatch 16th, CONTROVERSIALLY

Appropriate it would be if Indian cricket team boycotts current Australian tour and rests at home.
But, I know that's passionate Indian fan in me speaking!

Perfect it would be if government sacks whole BCCI setup for forcing our team play so much cricket that they get only 54 overs of warm-up match before embarking on final frontier - beating australia in australia.
But, that too is a too distant dream.

Ponting-Win-Sydney.jpg Then tell me, how do our team India motivate them selves's to play next two test at Perth (16th Jan 2008) and Adelaide (24th Jan 2008) when they know Aussies cheated them here at Sydney & umpires were clearly biased! I've an option - make Border-Gawaskar trophy a best of 5 test match series. Give Indian boys (who are playing brilliant cricket) a fair chance to achieve what they deserve.. why do Australia-England play 5 test match series while India-Australia only 4, when average fan following is at least 200 times more!

Cribbing on past (like this Sydney test match defeat), even though it was slapped on India rather than earned by Australia, is not what champions do. Champions look for new motivations & challenge themselves to conquer it. I truly believe this Indian Team to Australia is a champion team and has the potential to beat'em in their own backyard. Our GREEDY BUT SLEEPY cricket board should restore the pride of India's national cricket team that they've taken away by so poor scheduling and not raising voices for our boys' rights. How can they be mute to Umpire Steve Bucknor's repeated/intentional wrong decisions. BCCI has bought India lots of bad/unwanted cricket, lets now see iff they still are moral people..

What actually happened :
Day 1 : Australia wins toss, lose 7 for 134 but fought back to reach 463 in first Innings.
Day 2 : India starts brilliantly, century from Laxman & support from Dravid.
Day 3 : Tendulkar running out of partners as Harbhajan's batting sees him past century and India takes 69 run lead. in between that record 7th wicket partnership, Harbhajan is provoked into a teat-a-te with Andrew Symonds, which Ricky Ponting reports under serious allegations or racism. Inside reports say Harbhajan called Symonds 'a Monkey', but no one heard it. no micro-phone recorded it. Indian camp complains its a mind-game by Aussies but Match referee (Mike Procter) calls for case hearing.
Day 4 : Australia huff & puff to some sort of 2nd innings lead against high quality Indian bowling & rain effected day!
Day 5 : Australia do well to first shut India out of this test match, set a target of 333 off 72 overs and starts sledging from both sides --

Mitchell Johnson - 7th over,
Brett Lee - 11th over,
Andrew Symonds - 13th over &
Michael Clarke after taking Sourav Ganguly's catch (which he had grounded) used the F-WORD.

Dravid-Sydney-Bad-Umpiring.jpg Ricky Ponting rubs the ball into the ground, yet claims the catch. Umpire Mark Bensen had Tv umpire upstairs but he leaves him sipping free coffee & doesn't refer for Ganguly's catch by Clarke. doesn't even ask for Leg umpires opinion.. instead, he asks a man who is a hungry by the core of his heart and would do anything to win.. Ricky Ponting virtually ordered Mark Bensen to give Ganguly out, which England umpire did - promptly!

At other end, Steve Bucknor gave 3rd-4th wrong decision against Indian batsmen (last being Dravid's edge to keeper Adam Gilchrist) before not giving 2-3 clear outs when Indians bowled, like Andrew Symonds edge to Dhoni off Ishant sharma when he was on 30 or not referring the stumping when the ugly cricketer was out of his crease, on 48! Wasim Jaffer was bowled off a no-ball in the first innings which, of course, umpire didn't see.. Dhoni had caught Ponting down the leg-side off Ganguly but this oldy Jaimcan couldn't hear the snick. no points wondering why Bucknor's ears get over-sharpe when ball was brushing Indian batsmen's pads not bat!!
