1) Match-fixing charges against Wasim Akram reopens as Ata-ur-Rehman - a former Pakistani Fast bowler has filed an appeal at a lower court to clear his name from the charges he was given in 2000. Akram is now a British Resident. Know more..
2) We have so many times heard that all Pakistani youngsters pratice with balls covered by a tape and probably thats why they produce more fast bowlers than here in our country - India. Well, here is the actual mathod!! 3) Australia have decided to go ahead with their bid for the World Cup 2011 along with New Zealand. Their rival is the joint venture of India, Pakistan, Srilanka and Bangladesh. The front runner so far is of course Asia as they have already sent the letter to ICC and they also have lot more cricket followers then the Islanders!! 4) Cricket Australia (CA) wants to play more matches with India in the coming 3 years and believes that India-Australia can over take the Ashes and also the Indo-pak thrill. Already Andre Nel and Makhaya Ntini have gone back home and even Charl Langeveldt is in the que. 6) Pakistan is not able to find time to play a tri-series in India, also including Australia in October, just before the Champions trophy. Although it seems very unlikey, I wonder how great it would have been, or will be!! 7) Adam Gilchrist is having a real tough time as Australian selectors have decided to move him down the order in current VB series and have hinted that they may even drop him to include NewSouthWales Keeper - Brad Haddin. 8) Guess how much does a pair of shoes costs to Shoaib Akhtar?? The new pair of shoes that he wore in recently finished India - Pakistan test match costed him Rs 53,000. Poor boy, new shoes didn't fetch him even a single wicket!! 8) The preparation of Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad - the venue for the second test between India and Pakistan is in full swing and meanwhile India's team manager Raj Singh Dungarpur has refused to to comment on the kind of pitches Pakistan have been making saying - "Pitch preparation is prerogative of the home board" .
