Only Practice match for Pakistan, vs Delhi


AK-Chopra.jpg 43 days of cricket, 5 onedayers and 3 test matches. Pakistan team will tour India in a way that they'll reach all lengths and breaths of our country.

Interestingly, only 1 practice match has been given to Pakistan to adjust to conditions. No doubt Pakistan play under similar conditions at home, but tour matches also provide some rest of seniors and an option for captain to see how youngsters in his squad can be used when situation occurs.

Pakistan cricket board should have asked for one more tour game, but they didn't and BCCI didn't care!

Concentrating on that one Pakistan vs Delhi game we have on 2nd November, to be played at Feroz Shah Kotla ground, which has recently undergone renovation & will be hosting the 1st India and Pakistan test match from 22nd Nov 2007. This pakistan's tour game will be a day one day match (50 overs each side), but mind you - not an international fixture!

Delhi cricket association (DDCA) has decided to allow the cricket fans to watch this tour match of Pakistan against Delhi Ranji team.. free of cost. So, if you're in Delhi and want a look at Pakistan cricket team - go visit the Feroz Shah Kotla without a penny in your pocket.

This numbus channel has sure helped us watch some Indian domestic cricket matches. Pakistan vs Delhi practice match will be live on Neo Sports and being a day game - fans can watch it from 0900hrs onwards in the morning. Neosports will also show the complete ind-pak International cricket series.

The Delhi squad
Experienced Virendra Sehwag with Gautam Gambhir (both are in national team as well) will be joined in by Akash Chopa who had a great 2006 season. Giving company will be Ashish Nehra, Amit Bhandari & Ishant Sharma who have played at least once for Indian cricket team. Virat Kolhi, Shikhar Dhawan & Mithun Minhas are the batsman to watch out for whereas Mayank Tehlan, Chetanya Nanda, Puneed Bisht, Aditya Jain, Rajat Bhatia & Pradeep Jaiveer Sangwan. are the other Delhi team members for the coming Ranji season.
