No doubt Pakistan made a amazing score, and must have thought that they won half of the test. But then, India who already have two opening batsmen in their squad(Gautam Gambhir and Wasim Jaffer), went with news that Saurav Ganguly will open. And then when the actual moment came, The captain Rahul Dravid joined hands with Vice-captain Virendra Sehwag and are now sitting on the verge of breaking a record that not many expected - HIGHEST OPENING PARTNERSHIP. The record book has P Roy and MH Mankand's partnership of 413 as the highest till date, made for India against New Zealand at chenni in 1955/56. And right now Rahul and Sehwag currently at 403(The Scorecard so far), and Day 4 has been called off.
One more thing.. will Sehwag break the highest runs in an innings by an indian of 307, which he himself made at Multan. Yet another first test of that 2004 series. He is right now on 247. And what about Lara's 400. Lets wait and watch for few more hours. The highest individual scores in test matches.
And here's something for the future -
1) India, Pakistan and Australia are planning a tri-series in september. Although nothing is fixed as yet, the only problem is Pakistan is hosting Zimbabwe who doesn't have a team right now. So if they don't come on that tour, we will have the series as Australia and India are free at that time.
2) If you aren't getting enough of India Vs Pakistan, here's something for you. We will be playing two ODIs against Pakistan at Abu dhabi on April 18th and 19th. The proceeds of the match will go to Earthquake relief fund!!
