Pakistan play careless cricket at times. sleeping most of the time, & mind-blowing at times. Thus, even when they play at home - win is not authorised.

Fact 1 : and surprigingly, its just 2 test match series between Pakistan & South Africa.

Fact 2 - Proteas has played 5 test matches in Pakistan, and lost just 1 whereas won twice.

Fact 3 - Pakistan reached the finals of Twenty20 world cup recently.

So, how things will unfold. How the 5 ODI series will turn out, specially when all of the one day internationals will be played under lights? I hope to under your questions in following, or even better, you can ask for specific information directly to me.



The fixtures :
01-05 October - 1st test - Karachi.
08-12 October - 2nd test - Lahore.

18 October - 1st ODI - Lahore.
20 October - 2nd ODI - Lahore.
23 October - 3rd ODI - Faisalabad.
26 October - 4th ODI - Multan.
29 October - 5th ODI - Karachi.

The Telecast :
Doing some googling, I discovered that ATN (asian television network) will be shoing these Pakistan-south africa test & ODI series on its channe; CBN. Other channel - Cricket Plus - will show the SL v Eng matches. In UK, Pak v SA cricket matches can be seen on ARYDigital Europe. In India, Middle East or UAE - Tensports is the channel to watch the South Africa tour of Pakistan 2007.

The history :
Traditionally, Pakistan have flat wickets. Thus, results of test matches don't come that often. Even the fans don't fill the stadiums in enthusiasm. Consecutively, South Africa have a fine track record of playing in Pakistan. Read this piece I wrote a month back.

The Squads :
Pakistan might think Proteas don't play spin too well, so Danish Kaneria will be the trump card, but mind you - Kallis, Boucher & AB de Villiers are very fine players of slow bowling. You'll know as the series ends, & meanwhile, following is the full squads.
