My original agenda was to bring up what Indian & Pakistan captain had to say after the final of 1st twenty20 world cup. Both MS Dhoni & Shoaib Mallik made interesting post match speeches worth writing about.

I looked around the web world to find a video of presentation & celebration of the tournament finale, & thankfully, found exactly that. See this or this on youtube. BUT, reading the comments other cricket fans had written on this crickethighlight.info were very unresponsible. True India beat Pakistan. Whole country celebrated for days but that final match was a thriller cause our opposition played nearly equal to us. Pakistan team deserved their place in final, & they missed the crown by a wishker. Talking rubbish about them is not responsible commenting at all.

Something similar happened on Itsonlycricket when MS Dhoni was caught at the baundary by Derren Ganga some 8 months ago. Some Tom/Dick/Harry came to my blog and filled this article with abbusive words for Lara - the captain of Windies team.. I really didn't like that & hence don't allow comments on this version of Itsonlycricket.

Comments are highly important factor in a blog, but readers should care about what they write. They are supposed to be people who understand the game, not the one fighting at the border. Even those who fight at border respect soldier in front.

Huff!! now that I've sent it out, I can tell you how interesting Dhoni & Shoaib Mallik's speeches were. bring on your thinking cap & read on..

Shoaib Mallik - "sorry to Pakistan & all the muslims wherever in the world they might be living in. I promise to one & all that our team did their best to win the match."

I can understand Shoaib's assuring his countrymen that his team did everything they could, resting misconception of fans thinking there was again a match fixing. Specially what happened to Bob Woolmer after the world cup 2007. But is Pakistan team the team of all muslim's around the world that Shoaib saying sorry to every Muslim soul? I thought Pakistan played wonderfully well & their captain should've been proud of his performance. Reaching final is no less achievement.

MS Dhoni speech :
--He took the mike from Ravi Shastri - thrice. not a commom scene at post match presentations.
--On why he gave last over to Joginder Sharma - Dhoni thought Harbhajan was not sending the yorkers right, so why not give the ball to a domestic pro who wants to do well at international level... you got that right Mr. Dhoni.
--When the whole India was shaking - India had won - but MS Dhoni wanted more. He mentioned the upcoming India's tour of Australia which really pleased me. India always do well in home series & thus ODI series against Australia & test+ODI series against Pakistan should be relatively easy. But our Indian captain has Aussies in his mind, thinking of beating them in their own den.
