ICL can only do good for Indian cricket

ICLLogo12.jpgSince the evolution of remote, TV viewership has gone up. since the arrival of multiple airlines, people have started to prefer being airborne than travelling on wheels. Mobile companies, Loan firms, automobile industry & nearly all who depend on people to run their business - has to fight for our attention.

Basic reason - we people love options!

Cricketers in India, for some reason, were singularly dependent on BCCI (Board for cricket control in India). Who gave them the responsibility to run cricket in our country is not known, but that monopoly is about to end. I wrote this article in May month with a feeling that BCCI soon be fired from them company they started, & now with rebel Indian cricket League (ICL) announcing their plans 'very smartly', one after another to stay in news, we Indian cricket fans are on for some options in the sport we love so dearly. although firing bcci from their hold on cricket is a little away as of now

ICL first came in picture after the World cup 2007, where Indian team failed badly. Their plan is to have 2 Indian cricketers, 4 International cricketers with 8 youngsters compiling each squad of 14. Read this to know more of ICL plans, but greatest advantage is ICL can talk softly, gain momentum slowly when BCCI can only watch. There's absolutely nothing BCCI can do to stop ICL from flourishing.. as long as ICL has the money in pocket.

Although other countries cricket boards are trying to keep their brotherhood with BCCI by piling rocks in their own cricketer's way to joining ICL, they hardly have the rights to block the migration. There's not a single cricket fan in India against ICL, cause they know this new Indian cricket league can only benifit the way cricket is played in our country. It will be a pleasure watching the likes of Brain Lara, Shane Warne & other superstars of International cricket playing in our country. It will be even pleasing is some young cricketer from a small state in India (who wasn't given a chance by BCCI) to hit Glenn McGrath for few sixes & win claps.

Kapil Dev is correct - 'ICL is one of the best thing to happen to Indian cricket for a long time'. Bring it on..!!

Few tips to ICL workers
-Make Zeesports (the telecast channel) available easily all around the country cause that's when you can cash on the viewership.
-Stage the tournament when Indian team isn't playing.
-Encourage team spirit cause none of the cricketers will be playing under their countries name. Fan love the cricket most, when players show the will to win. I'm sure selector like Kiran More & coaches like Sandeep Patil can develop that.
-Facilities at ground (no matter where ICL matches will be played), the pitch & whole look must be of utmost standard. You don't need to make it look like local cricket matches, but no less than an International gala.
