Day when LALU YADAV will prasad (president) Indian cricket

LaluYadavHisSonAndCricket.jpgYou joke, you ask. You may also misquote them but one thing you don't do ~ is erk a politician's ego. specially if he is Lalu Prasad Yadav from Bihar.

Jagmohan Dalmiya (former BCCI president) did exactly that. In Dalmiya's time, running cricket in India was a valuable but not so famous job. mostly the rich industrialists played it, with Indian politicians concentrating else where. in 2001, Lalu Yadav - then Bihar CM for some reason, supported AC Muthiah in the BCCI election against Jagmohan Dalmiya.. Dalmiya won, n Bihar cricket association was sacked for 3 years from Ranji trophy.

Today as you read this, Lalu Yadav is no more the chief minister of Bihar, but he's the president of BCA (Bihar Cricket Association), whose state team is back to Indian domestic circuit. Lalu also is the president of Political party RJD along with his Railway ministry.. now inside voices are reporting that Mr Lalu is interested in BCCI chief post, once current president Sharad Pawar vacates the position. September 2008 is the time you should wait for, because Pawar is gonna continue for 1 more year.

I read this article on Hindustan Times cricket, and couldn't resist bringing it to Itsonlycricket readers. Laluyadav is keeping keen touch with the latest happening in Indian cricket lately, from TV broadcasting rights to selection of Coach, and talks to Raj Singh Dungarpur (another player in cricket board working) whenever finds time from busy schedule that he has. The picture you see of Laluji is with his son standing behind in Indian team shirt, is also reported to be a cricket aspirant. Just for more information, Indian cricket team has not had a player from Bihar State of India for a while now, even though current wicket keeper - Mahendra Singh Dhoni is from Ranji in Jharkhand state, which was a part of Bihar state just few years ago.

Wonder what a day it will be when Lalu Yadav really gets the president-ship of BCCI & answers a press conference.. if he ever does. also wonder will that help Bihar cricket in any sense so that we can have some International cricketer from the state of students/Bodh Gaya.
