HONESTLY, I didn't see those elegant drives flowing in 235 minutes I spared on Michael Vaughan as he batted against West Indies in Leeds test, to make 103.HONESTLY, that Vaughan 100 appeared to me like an experienced English batsman washing his hands off a learning Caribbean attack, specially with another run-machine (Pietersen) at the other end. Honestly, I've highlighted 'honesty' so far in the article, because hero of this post ~ England test captain Michael Vaughan, uses it more than any word else. As he fights on with injuries, his desire to give something significant to the game he played professionally, mounts on. The best possibility is Ashes 2009.. and honesty is how Vaughan targets it. He blamed Andrew Flintoff for bursting World Cup baloon, before admitting England team were in sensational mood entering Caribbean festival. They had won Commonwealth Bank series, coming from behind. They lost just one match to New Zealand, so another comeback wasn't far away. Trouble came when Andrew Flintoff went out drinking that night, and was found in a Pedalo (a kind of small boat) in the early morning hours. Vice captainship strip, and a match ban followed for Flintoff, but his stories 'Fedalo' scared the whole team. Note that Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer was found dead a day later. Michael Vaughan said his England team-mates were deperate & scared in the middle of Cricket World Cup 2007. Team Spirit was lost, and there was no escape. Moving on, Vaughan's next honest belief is that he won't make it to World Cup 2011. So, if new England cricket coach Peter Moore & ECB thinks otherwise, they are free to drop him from ODIs. But Longer version of cricket is still his cup of tea. What Vaughan didn't say in his interview to Gaurdian, that he wants to win Ashes 2009. Test matches is what he loves.. like a true Englishman. My honest feelings - (ECB) you give it to him. Related ArticlesEngland cricket
