Old cricketers make way for younger ones. So does its fans. and so does the format of the game.. 1888 saw first ever test match, 1975 had first ever cricket world cup of one day matches. Not sure how many cricket fans of those days are still involved in it but in September this year ~ we'll all witness the first ever twenty20 world cup. Come, I've the fixtures of that special tournament played at three Proteas stadium - Kingmead in Durban, Newlands in Capetown & The Bull-ring Wanderers in Johannesburg.

First thing you should note in the table, is most days have no less than 3 twenty20 matches. As this new form of cricket just takes around 3 hours to complete, 2 matches will be played as day games and third one as night only. ICC has also done a smart thing by scheduling more matches towards the week-ends & only night matches on weekdays.

At what time this 20-20 world cup matches will start - I don't know that as yet. If we brake three types of matches as A, B & C - A type of matches should be starting 3pm India time. Accordingly 7pm should be for B-type matches & 10.30 or 11pm for night matches. I hope to correct this match timings as we come close to this tournament in south Africa.
