Cramping Dhoni boat take sinking India home.


Rahul Dravid has made it clear in simple words - "Bangladesh tour is NOT a world cup revenge series". Such clearification is expect from a honest minded man like Dravid with big/famous position. But a genuine Team India fan like me doesn't have to be that diplomatic. I truly believe Indian boys should give a lesson back to Bangladeshi cricketers.. and if you my dear reader do the same, read on. I'll explain how our wicket keeper pulled off a miraclous win at Mirpur today, coming from behind.

He elected to bat, and openers put on fine 78 runs. from then on - it was one way traffic. Only after first 20 overs, Indian boys started to struggle with humidity & Bangla batsman could sneek towes' & threes' at will. Problem was, Bangla batsman are't busy enough to rotate the strike. Either they know to smash it, or stop it.

Result - Bangla team complited exactly 250 from speculated 47 overs.. yes, it was a cut-short match.

Indian Innings started with a blaze. Last two balls of first over, and then first 2 of 2nd over ~ all went to baundary. Virendra Sehwag & Gautam Gambhir intentially played very straight. They were driving on leg stump balls to mid-wicket, not to square leg. Sehwag was hitting over the bowler, not trying to cut it.. but guess what - both gone one by one.

Yuvraj Singh was foxed by a slower delivery from lanky faster Shahdat Hossain & even Dravid perished without completing half-century partnership with Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Even the second India vs Bangladesh one day international will be played at same Mirpur stadium (on Saturday), means Dravid will remeber the sick slice shot he shouldn't have played..

Dinesh Mongia left - Dinesh Karthik arrived. Kaarthik has recently got married to his uncle's daughter, and looks like his wife is lucky for him. Indian team were down in dumps with Dhoni struggling with cramps, but yuvraj Singh as runner did good job. After quite a few misunderstanding first, I must add.

India chased down 251 from exactly 26 overs. Sehwag 30 off 21, Gambhir 21 off 17, Dravid 22. The not out winning run makers were - MS Dhoni with 91 off 106 with 'not a single 6' & Dinesh Karthik on 58 from 60.
