We had PCB supremo speaking 2 weeks ago, saying how Pakistan cricket will be reformed now. They were to play nothing before twenty20 world cup in South Africa, but guess what - Pakistan verses Sri Lanka 3 one day Internationals have been squeezed in the month of May itself..

As a cricket fan, I don't mind really. But feel for both teams, who'll be packing bags to reach United Arab Emirate city Abu Dhabi for a bilateral ODI series. Specially Shoaib Mallik, captaining Pak cricket team for the first time. that too without a proper national coach. If you don't mind the series too, read on. I'll tell you all about this onedayers series between Pakistan and srilanka at one of the newest neutral venue in International cricket. As as a reminder, you can try to recall the two ODI India and Pakistan played at the same Abudhabi stadium last April (1st & 2nd). Both the teams won one match each in that Tsumani relief fund match.

Date & day : 1st ODI on 18, 2nd ODI on 20 & 3rd on 22. Friday, Sunday & Tuesday respectively.
The stadium : Sheikh Zayed cricket ground. flat but not high scoring pitch. 2 ODIs old. read more.

A curious note - This Pakistan-Srilanka series had a time table to start on 9th of May 2007. Although Pakistan team returned early, Srilankan team qualified for world cup finals & then their flight back home got delayed. It was not to cheap airline ticket, but LTTE were more than active in neighbouring island to India. Srilankan boys eventually reached colombo airport on 3rd May. Thus this Pak-SL one day series got delayed.
