Looking for Nimbus communication channel Neosports? Following words should help you find it.. if you have the patience to read.

Channel was released with Challenger's trophy in October 2006. West Indies & Srilanka ODIs started 3 months later - yet no information on where this channel is. I sadly have to report that Neo Sports is again the channel to live telecast India's tour of Bangladesh in May 2007 - means another tussle with Doordarshan. The case between Prasar Bharti & Nimbus Communications has not yet come to a decision. As an experienced cricket watcher(?) on television - I suspect DD1 will get to show one day Internationals (3 of them). But India vs Bangladesh test matches starting 18 May might be a problem..

Now the big news : Nimbus channel's official website is actually live on Internet - showing Ind v Bang series schedule right on top. I'm always interested in about page - so had a look what Neo sports had to say about themselves. (I suggest you start here too). As it turned out - diplomatic words with plenty of promise. Neosports don't have too much to tell about themselves - so the CEOs & Chairmans have been highlighted. I hope with passing time - these people will actually reach Indian homes and show some real live cricket. Up till now = Neosports has only caused problems which don't seem solve-able.

As an urban cricket fan in India
You (including me) actually have THE problem here. We have option of local Cable TV connection, Dish Tv & Tata Sky - the new satellite providers where we have to buy an antena, fix at the top of flats & connect with television. Match telecast actually depends on which channels you are paying these DTH services for = channels you get. Depending on packages you have. I'll be writing which is better : tatasky or dishtv not too long from now - so try if link is there.

As a cable operator in India
you should take Neosports in your package right now. Simply because this nimbus channel not only has plenty of exclusive rights to broadcast International cricket tours in coming months (see schedule), they have first-class right in India as well. With new cricket league coming on Zeesports : BCCI will definately start highlighting Indian domestic cricket. all of those twenty20 day nights matches will be live on Neosports, till 2010 end.. so the choice is yours.

As an Indian without cable : in Rural parts
DD1 or Doordarshan is your answer friend. India Bangladesh series has three one day matches & then two test matches. one dayers should be on our national channel, try All India Radio for test match running commentary of every day's play.
As not-in-India but Team India fan.
