May month of any year is not a time to play cricket in India, and countries around it. But when money pours in - professionals have to perform.

Bangladesh and India meet in a 2 test match series after a small ODI series of 3. India vs Bangladesh 1st & 2nd ODI at Mirpur (on 10th & 12th respectively), and 3rd ODI at Chittagong on 15th May. First test match will again be played at Chittagong from 18th with 2nd and last test match from 25th. Interestingly - the two teams will return to Mirpur for the last test match. As far as I remember - Bangladesh has Bangabandhu stadium in Dhaka which is the premier stadium in our neighbouring country. How come no match for Team India in Dhaka??

I turned a few webpages and found that Mirpur cricket stadium (formally known as Sher-e-Bangla National stadium) is also in Dhaka itself. Just a few hours of drive from the big Bangladesh airport. This ground is brand new, inaugurated on 8th december last year with a Bangladesh-Zimbabwe one day match. Even scotland have played here but no really major cricket team. Indian team will be playing total of 3 cricket matches here, so big time has come for the Mirpur cricket fans.

And then, I found Mirpur weather forecast in advance. It doesn't look good at all. Heavy rain is predicted for Thursday - the day of 1st one day International between the two countries. In fact whole country is about to experience some unexpected rain in the middle of summer.

Series after thisfor Team India is one off one day International against Ireland (on 23rd June) and then 3 ODI series against South Africa in Ireland. This series is a part of 20 odd ODIs Indian team promised to play against various International teams at different venues. Very starting of July will see Indian team starting their England tour with a very long fixture list including county matches, test cum one day series with a match against Scotland. Currently West Indies are touring at the beginning of English season.
