It's been over four years when Pakistan last hosted a cricket series at home and hopes of resumptions anytime soon aren't bright. Pakistan have found second home in UAE, so much so that now they're meeting same visiting team for the second time in the gulf. South Africans clashed with Pakistan in Dubai and Abu Dhabi back in 2010 and now they'll be back for a series of 2 test matches, 5 ODIs and 2 T20s this October and November 2013..
South Africans being with a three day tour match, adjusting to the extreme heat of the location before indulging into first test match at Abu Dhabi from 14th October and then moving to Dubai for second test from 23rd. Proteas are currently no.1 in ICC rankings, and they'll like to register some outright win now unlike last time when both the test matches ended as draws.
The teams will then move onto Sharjah, which has recently been re-included in PCB's hosting venue, for the first ODI while Dubai gets second ODI before next two at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Final ODI is at Sharjah while Dubai International stadium hosts both the Twenty20s.
All the ODIs and T20 will be played as Day-Night affairs.
