England and Australia are playing Ashes series since 1882. The last and only "White Wash" (which means winning by 5-0) happened in 1921.

Both the times, I mean including this 2006 White wash as well, Australians were on the winning side and England had no answer to either the batting or their bowling. But this article is not directed at criticising England, but to inform you that England and Australia will be playing a twenty20 match at Sydney cricket ground (SCG) on 9th of January 2007 - which is tuesday.Twenty20___International.JPG

England has been into very bad ODI form lately, so the expectations may not be very high. Having said that - English team has the most experience when it comes to playing Twenty20 or 20/20 matches. They just might surprise the Aussie team and set up the Commonwealth bank tri series, which starts 2 days later.

Timming : This Twenty20 match (KFC twenty20 International as it is called) will be starting at 1400hrs IST and will be live on ESPN. You can watch the highlights of this Aus vs Eng 20:20 match again on ESPN later that night at 2300hrs and in the monring at 1000hrs on Wednesday.

Next twenty20 match : Pak vs SA twenty20 match on 2nd february at Johannesburg.

-:- Pakistan start well - in their practice match against South Africa A, at Kimberley. As the third test between India and South Africa was on - Pakistan team landed and started their campaign with a 3 day match against a local team and made 402 in just one day.
Both the openers - Imran Farhat and Mohammad Hafeez made centuries and then Younis Khan and Yasir Hameed completed their fifties.

Right now as I write this - Pakistan have declared at 485 for 9 and South Africa A are at 100 for 4.

-:- Michael Vaughan replaces Andrew flintoff as the captain of England as they play the above mentioned twenty20 match against Australia. He will be the captain for the Commonwealth Bank tri series as well.

-:- Sri Lanka beat New Zealand in the fourth ODI at Auckland and now the 5 ODI series is tied 2-2. But before I tell you about when the last match of the series will be played, do note that Sri Lanka made 262 for 6 in their 50 overs and New Zealand were bowled out for just 73 while chasing.... This is their second lowest ODI total and heaviest defeat in One day Internationals.

The last and series deciding match will be played on Tuesday and will be starting at 0700hrs India time. This match will be live on Star Sports.
