Pakistan had a healthy 2012 and now they've began 2013 on a high note beating arch-rivals Indians in their own den but challenge will be even tougher (if not toughest possible) as they tour numero unos South Africa, playing three test matches, two T20s and then a series of five ODIs, this February and March..

Pakistan begin with a 3 day practice match against South African Invitation XI, followed by first test match at Wanderers in Johannesburg from 1st February. Second test is at Newlands in Cape Town while third will be at Superport park in Centurion. The two T20s, first of which will be a flood-light affair, will be hosted at Kingsmead in Durban and Centurion.

Pakistan play another practice match, with similar invitation eleven, as a day-night fixture at Kimberley on 6th March before diving into five one day internationals.

So far, Pakistan don't have very poor record in South Africa, winning two while losing 6 out of 9 tests. The two wins have come at Durban back in 1998 and at Port Elizabeth in 2007. Even in ODI, Pakistan have done reasonably well agains tough hosts, wining 6 while losing 14 out of 21 in total.
