Up against less than run a ball target, if the chasing team gets home in the penultimate over with seven wickets in hand, we know we've had a boring match. Specially when it was a twenty20 clash..

After an entertaining test series, Natwest ODI series was low scoring and now 1st T20 failed to catch the attention with bowlers dominating the batters. Invited in to bat first, Alex Hales found couple of crisp boundaries for home side but run out from Jacque Kallis turned the match around. Craig Kieswetter fell to some smart offies by Johan Botha and then Ravi Bopara wasted yet another opportunity with the bat. 3 down for 50 at the 8th over mark, England needed a rebuilding partnership which didn't happen untill the 8th wicket when captain Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann collected 33 runs off last 27 balls.

Target of 119 from 120 balls was never going to threaten South Africans but early departure of Richard Levi and Francois du Plessis made the match interesting for a while. AB de Villiers fell soon after but Jacques Kallis wasn't going to throw away the easy chase. In JP Duminy, he found a static partner and these two got home with 6 balls remaining.

Dale Steyn was named man of the match for his utterly economical four overs.
