We're a week away from World T20 2012 and shortest version of cricket ready to arrest fans minds. starting today when Pakistan snatched skin off Aussie chase at Dubai, restricting visitors to a tie from near defeat and then claiming the super over.

It was a surprizing move from Pakistani captain to bat first after low scoring 1st T20 but Mohammad Hafeez justified his decision with a responsible 45, setting the platform through 76 runs stand with Nasir Jamshed. Both departed close together but Kamran Akmal had found situation to his liking. his six fours pushed green team to a solid total (although not quite a winning score).

Aussies were expected to negotiate new ball conservatively after dismal show in previous game but they came out decided opposite to it. David Warner dominated the 30 runs opening stand while Shane Watson took over with Michael Hussey rotating the strike. Captain George Bailey was seeing off the game nicely untill 10 runs were required off last over off which, he got out first ball. Abdul Razzaq sent down a smart over but Pat Cummins hit six of penultimate ball to leave just winning run pending. Sadly, Cummins surcommed under pressure to baloon the ball in air inside 30 yard circle. It was time for super over.
