Fresh from their first test series victory since retirement of Muthiah Muralitharan, Sri Lankans have announced a 15 member ODI squad that comprises plenty of batsmen. In recent times, Lankans have been served well with long batting line-up and making up overs with part time bowlers and they'll be doing the same in next fortnight..

Sri Lankan selectors have opted for as many as 7 specialist batsmen who all have good experience at the one day level. Captain Mahela Jayawardene will form a strong middle order with Kumar Sangakkara with Lahiru Thirimanne and Chamara Kapugedara hoping for a slot. Tillakaratne Dilshan and Upul Tharanga will be the first choice openers although Jayawardene has also done quite well whenever he's started the innings for his country.
Home team will also have options of plenty of allrounders. Vice captain Angelo Mathews will don the lower middle order with Thisara Perera, considered an Indian expert, along with Jeevan Mendis who also bowls leg spin and Nuwan Kulasekara.
There are as many as four seam bowling options in Sri Lankan squad but they only have one relaiable paceman in Lasith Malinga. Indian batting is known to line-up opposition bowling and visitors may find home team one dimentional.
Isuru Udana makes a comeback to national side having played six twenty20 internationals. He's a left arm seamer who doesn't bowl at great speed but is specialist of end overs with his accuracy.
There are only two specialist spinners in the squad, in Ranagan Herath, the left arm spinner and Sachithra Senanayake, the offspinner.
