Inzamam (again) stands for Pakistan : 2nd ODI, Faisalabad

Forget what happened to the test series. West Indies were on a high in one day cricket and they must have backed themselves to win this December 5 ODI series in Pakistan.

1st ODI was washed out and West Indies got bowled out off the second last ball of this 2nd ODI at Faisalabad. They made 151.

And never looked in the hunt when the bowling started underlight. Mohammad Hafeez got out at 1, Farhat at 40, Kamran Akmal at 50 and then Younis Khan at 80.

Shoaib Malik followed at the score of 90 and Abdul Razzaq at 118.... in simple words - Pakistan were scoring slowly and West Indies were getting regular wickets.

The pattern continued with Naved-ul-Hasan and newcomer Abdul Rehman, but one man stood for 42 valuable runs and was there to hit the winning runs.

That's Inzamam-ul-Haq for you. So many times I have wondered why Pakistan still have him as their captain, and then I recall more than 30 instances when this one heavy man has stood for his country and won the match..

Being on the opposite camp, no wonder I wish for the day when Inzamam will retire.

No big words, no record books, no need for them. Pakistan has a chance till Inzamam is there..

Hats off to the Pakistani captain.
