Sri Lanka announced separate squads for the upcoming T20 and One Day series against Pakistan. Sri Lanka will play two T20 international games and five ODIs. A three match test series too will played, but the squad for that is yet to be named. Interestingly, a release for the SLCB did not contain the name of a captain. However, one expects Mahela Jayawardene to be named captain for the series.

The T20 games will be played in southern Hambantota, while the ODIs will be played in Pallekele and Colombo. The exact venues for the test series are not available as of now, but they are scheduled to start on June 22.

The tournament is sponsored by a Pakistani telecom brand and is unique because it’s the first time an away series is being sponsored by a Pakitani brand.
