What should have been a walk in the park, Bangalore messed it up so bad they knocked themselves out of the tournament. Considered a solid contender for the title, Bangalore couldn't over haul moderate target from Deccan Chargers, the lead performing team of the season. This surprizing result means Chennai Super Kings will go through to the eliminator..

To start with, Deccan were invited in to bat and continued to lose wicket untill JP Duminy took the center stage counter attackingly. Left hander dominated 71 run stand with Parthiv Patel, hitting as many as 5 sixes, giving his bowlers something to bowl at but who would have thought it will be 9 runs over? specially not after Chris Gayle blasted MS Gony in his 10 ball 27. Virat Kohli held the fort for a long time but middle order fell apart like a pack of cards. Dale Steyn was chief destroyer, and hence was named man of the match.
