Electing to bat first, Punjab were rocked early by Umesh Yadav who clocked top speeds regularly and claimed three wickets. Sidharth Citnis and Azhar Mahmood did the rebuilding job while Gurkeerat Singh provided a mild firework towards the end but Delhi's bowling was too accurate to let get post a defendable total, specially after David Warner went wild against the new ball. Delhi lost few useless wickets towards the end but writing was already on the wall.
