The duo used pace off Delhi bowlers nicely. Gayle 13 sixes in his innings, the most by any batsman, equalling Brendon McCullum.

Delhi, with nothing to lose as they've already qualified for the play-offs, came out all guns blazing with young Unmukt Chand showing promise. Venugopal Rao and then Ross Taylor kept home team in hunt, as did Andre Russell but Bangalore fetched an important win at the end.
