Match summary

Chennai, and specially MS Dhoni, fast growing a habbit of leaving the knock-out punch little too late to comfort and it has costed them couple of time this season already and they did it again today but Dwayne Bravo hit a six off last ball (5 runs were required) to snatch a thriller for visitors, keeping defending champions alive for play-offs.. Electing to bat first, Kolkata were off to rocket start with Gautam Gambhir dominating 99 runs opening stand which came off just 11.3 overs, while Brendon McCullum feed his strike from other end but suddenly, wickets started to fall as the ball got older and home team finished their innings with little to no acceleration but something similar was bound to happen for Chennai on a pitch that was sure to go slow. Michael Hussey and Murali Vijay collected rapid 97 runs off just 10.2 overs but both of them perished to Sunil Narie a ball apart and there started to slow-down. Captain Dhoni left things till the second last over when he started to counter attack but 5 runs were still pending with only last ball to come. Rajat Bhatia had bowled well but this one was full toss that Bravo lofted 80 yards in length as well as in height!
