Match summary

It ain't no secret that Deccan have been the worse team of IPL 2012 but it's also a fact that their batsmen have done the job but bowlers have failed them time and again. Today, was another similar day.. Electing to bat first on a placid Visaka stadium, Deccan got first 28 runs pretty confidently with Daniel Harris chancing his arms but Morne Morkel made the break-through while Kumar Sangakkara was claimed by Varun Aaron. Shikhar Dhawan and Cameron White started to rebuild the innings and as the partnership grew, runs started to come quickly. The pair added 126 runs to put a solid total on board but it was it going to be enough against an in-form batting team Delhi Daredevils?

Virender Sehwag, in his usual careless style, smashed first ball for a four and then got out off second trying to repeat the stroke. At this moment, Deccan must have thought they were ahead in the match but David Warner's counter attack soon put Delhi in the drivers seat. Naman Ojha showed his class from the other end, feeding strike to Warner and hitting big whenever lose deliveries came his way. Delhi raced to their target with 20 balls remaining.

Highest partnership in IPL : is 206 between Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh, followed by 189 by David Warner and Naman Ojha in this match.
