Match summary
Presense of Yuvraj Singh must have been good motivation for Pune Warriors today, at home, but Cameron White played an innings that separated the two teams apart. Given a tough target of 178 to chase, Pune were off to moderate start but asking rate continued to mount all the way untill Steven Smith and then Mithun Manhas started to counter attack. sadly, it was few overs too late for home team against tight bowling from visitors, specially Ashish Reddy who was playing his first IPL match, making sure Deccan earned their first win of the season.

Earlier, Deccan were once again off to good start with Shikhar Dhawan and Parthiv Playing their shots but likewise in previous games, middle order seemed like spoiling the start untill Cameron White found his timing, smashing five sixes in his maiden half century in IPL career. JP Duminy played his part nicely too, posting a handsome total on board for the visitors.
