Match summary
Even though it's a long tournament with each team playing 16 matches, Deccan Chargers have now almost made it certain they aren't going to qualify for the play-offs, losing all of their five matches so far. Almost in every match this season, Deccan have began well but messed up things as the match went on and today's encounter against Kolkata had the similar story..

Invited in to bat first after almost an hour's delay due to rain, in-form opener Shikhar Dhawan took Deccan off to a flying start, scoring a half century but he had to slow down as wickets kept falling from other end. Brett Lee bowled an ultra economical spell while Sunil Narine and L Balaji got couple of wickets each.

Kolkata went about their chase smartly, not overattacking as the target overhead was just over run a ball. Gautam Gambhir rotated the strike well early on and then Jacques Kallis did the same. Manoj Tiwary finished the match with Das with an over to spare.
