Very few teams will concede lead by declaring their 1st innings when they've to bat last on a not-so-flat pitch but Aussies took the chance late on fourth day and Windies, having dominated the match for most parts of previous three days, crumbled under pressure to hand over victory in dying minutes of last day..

It was a slow scoring yet a highly entertaining test match at Kensington Oval in Barbados where Ryan Harris edged out Shivnarine Chanderpual's 25th century and Ben Hilfenhaus' inspiring bowling spells to bag man of the match for his crucial half century and short bursts with the ball. here's how the story unfolded.

Electing to bat first, Windies were off to steady start before youngsters Kraigg Brathwaite and Kirk Edwards started to push home team ahead with a 104 runs stand for for the second wicket. Aussie bowlers were finding nothing out of the first day pitch and captain Michael Clarke was forced to bowl as many as 8 bowlers. Shivnarine Chanderpual pounced on the opprtunity, adding little partnerships with each mate coming in and reached his 25th ton.

This was only the 12th time in history of test cricket and first time for West Indies that all batsmen reached double figures in an innings. Windies finished with solid 449 and then declared little less than an hour before the end of second day.

Having toiled hard for 153 overs, Aussie openers managed to keep their heads cool to see off the tricky session but Darren Sammy made dismissed both of them early on day 3 to set cat among the pegions. 4 down with more than 300 runs in deficit, Aussies were in danger but Michael Clarke and Michael Hussey fought hard. yet, sword was hanging over visitor's heads going into the fourth day's play.

Ryan Harris came out as surprising package early in the morning, adding 35 runs with Mathew Wade, 44 with Ben Hilfenhaus and then 77 with Nathan Lyon. Windies failed to wrap up the tail and then came the surprize declaration mid-way through the penultimate day.

Windies had a horrible start to their second innings, losing 6 wickets for just 75 runs and then bowled out for just 148 inside first session of last day, managing to set just a possible target of 192.

Home team tried their best by bowling slowly but Aussies were determined to go after the target. Openers Ed Cowan and David Warner set the platform and then Shane Watson scored briskly. Michael Hussey contributed 32 off just 26 balls to ease the tension and Ryan Harris scored the winning runs.
