It's an amazing statistic that Rajasthan Royals have never lost a match having scored 160+ batting first and it once again continued today as Kolkata Knight Riders were caught 22 runs short of their 165 runs target at Jaipur where RR now have won 14 out of 19 games. Interestingly, side batting second had won 13 out of 18 matches at the venue but didn't work for Kolkata today who intentionally elected to field..

Invited in to bat first, Royals had a sad beginning, losing their orange cap holder Ajinkya Rahane through a run out and something similar happened to captain Rahul Dravid after he struck few lusty blows to keep up the tempo. Wicket keeper Shreevats Goswami was promoted up the order but real imputus to the innings was provided by Brad Hodge. In 64 runs stand with Ashok Menaria, Hodge smashed couple of sixes to accelerate the scoring and then Menaria scatched his way to his highest IPL score. Owais Shah batted well too, steering Rajasthan to a total they've never lost from.

Kolkata were never in hunt, specially after losing first three wickets for just nine runs on board. Amit Singh was the chief destroyer with the new ball, taking back to back wickets while Ankeet Chavan also bowled well. Manoj Tiwary fought a lone battle but no support from other end from star studded line-up.

Fact : Kolkata have never made more than 160 runs against Rajasthan ever in IPL and they still haven't, losing both their matches this season so far.
