Schedule of IPL 2012 is made in exact manner as it was the previous year, with each team playing another twice (once each at other's venue) but this time, since Kochi Tusers Kerala has been omitted, tournament is reduced to only 7 teams who'll be making up the 76 matches played at 11 different venues..

Based on points table, qualifying round will be played in the last week of May 2012 with top two teams fighting for first place in final while 3rd and 4th position teams will come through eliminator round to meet loser of first qualifier and decide the other finalist.

IPL 2012 will see introduction of brand new stadium, called Subrata Roy Sahara stadium, situated at Gahunje Village, alongside expressway connecting Pune and Mumbai. Barabati stadium in Cuttack has also got couple of matches, as does ACA VDCA stadium in Vizag while Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh has hosted some IPL fixtures on previous seasons. Other prominent grounds are MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai, M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore, Wankhede stadium in Mumbai, Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi, Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Sawai mansingh stadium in Jaipur an PCA stadium in Mohali.

Day matches will be starting 4pm India time = 8.30pm Sydney in Australia, 6.30am Canada, 6.30pm Malaysia & Singapore, 3.30pm Los Angeles in US, 11.30am in UK and 2.30pm Middle East.
Night matches will be begining 4 hours later from above mentioned time.
