England cricket Board (ECB) have developed a liking of facilities and "security" available in Abu Dhabi and Dubai in recent times and hence they asked Pakistan cricket board to host their home series in Middle East, which they gracefully accepted..
This tour will bring the first series for England since they become no.1 ranked test team since ICC ratings were made. Indians, South Africans and Aussies are fast rising up the ladder and Englishmen would want to thrust some healthy win over Pakistan in adverse conditions to justify their numero uno position.
The tour starts with as many as two warm-up games for England followed by first test match from 17th January 2012 at Dubai international cricket ground which will also host the third test from 3rd February with second test scheduled at Sheikh Zayed stadium in Abu Dhabi.
England then move on to play another practice game before they indulge into a strange 4 one day series. First two are to be played at Abu Dhabi and then last two at Dubai where also the first two Twenty20 games will be held while series finishes up with 3rd T20 back at Abu Dhabi.
