Virat Kohli. Nothing better than poor in two tour games and then whitewashed in 4 test match series, Indians today achieved their first win of this England tour 2011, beating county side Sussex in a list A match at Hove..

Invited in to bat first in this day game, Praveen Kumar drew first blood, eating up opener Luke Wells in his second over and then Kiwi import Lou Vincent fell to RP Singh after cracking few good boundaries. Captain Chris Nash and young Joe Gatting added 31 runs for the 3rd wicket but RP Singh separated them too. Gatting then added another 47 with Matt Machan who top scored for the home team. Wicket keeper Ben Brown and Kirk Wernars did whatever they could but Indian spinners managed to keep scoring in check, limiting them to only 236 from 45 overs that was match had to be reduced to due to rain early on.

Chasing their target, Sachin Tendulkar showed hints of supermacy while Parthiv Patel feed onto him, scoring a half century. Then onwards, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma took over, adding 104 runs between them. Kohli and then Suresh Raina were out towards the end of the chase but it was a confortable win for visitors.

India now play only T20 against England on 31st August before 5 one day series starting 3rd September.
