It's been a while since South Africa visited New Zealand. No less than 8 years when they last played in Kiwiland back in 2004. Then, home team had the last laugh as test series was drawn 1-1 and then New Zealand won 6 one day series 5-1..February & March 2012 is the time South Africa tour New Zealand, playing series of twenty20, one dayers and then test matches in almost 50 days stay. here's the schedule released by blackcaps cricket :- South Africa and New Zealand first indulge in 3 T20 series, to be played at Westpack stadium in Wellington, Seddon Park in Hamilton and Eden Park in Auckland on 17, 19 and 22 February 2012 respectively. Series of 3 one day internationals follows, to be played at Westpack stadium, McLean Park in Napier and Eden Park on 25 & 29 February and 3rd March 2012 respectively. The test matches are scheduled to start on 7th, 15th and 23rd March at newly build University Oval in Dunedin, Seddon Park in Hamilton and Basin Reserve in Wellington. Fact : New Zealand have never beaten South Africa in a test series! Out of 12 series so far, Proteas have won 9 times while other 3 series finished as draws.
