Zimbabwe have been kept away from test matches since September 2005 when they last faced India at home but now, in early new year 2012, African nation returns to toughest format, an honour they've earned after good performance in world cup and proving to ICC that they've the bowlers to compete at the level..
Zimbabwe play one off test match on their tour of New Zealand which will also be their first to a major nation in quite some time. The test match, from 26th to 30th January 2012, will be played at McLean Park in Napier which is known for it's quick pitch.
Zimbabwe then play three one day internationals on New zealand tour, begining with 1st ODI at newly developed University Oval in Dunedin on 3rd February, 2nd at Cobham Oval in Whangarei which will be hosting it's first international match on 6th and 3rd back at McLean Park in Napier on 9th.
Zimbabweans finish the tour with two twenty20 internationals against home team, on 12th and 14th February, at Eden Park in Auckland and Seddon Park in Hamilton.
